The shorter barrel gives up nothing in accuracy to the standard rifle and the factory-installed large loop lever aids in rapid lever manipulation even when wearing gloves. The carbine model now sports a side loading gate allowing you to top off the seven-round tube magazine without dropping the rifle from your shoulder.
